The Cusco Conference in the News
The Second Global Meeting of the Mountain Partnership (Cusco, Peru, 28-29 October 2004) received a great deal of media coverage – principally in Spanish. Aside from Peru, where the event took place, news about the Conference was reported in the print, electronic and broadcast media in several other countries, including Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico and Switzerland.
The media organizations included the main Peruvian daily newspaper, El Comercio , which dedicated several articles to the event both in the national and in its local Cusco section; the Peruvian national press agency, Andina ; national Peruvian TV stations; and Gestion , a Peruvian newspaper specializing in financial and economic affairs. Although some articles are now difficult to trace as media organizations generally update news features after two weeks, the following links lead to still extant reportage (in Spanish) on the Cusco Conference.
